Can any one have problems with
The covers on the outside of the caravan.
2 off the covers are really tight,
The one for the boiler also the one for the bbq point.
Don't want to use to much force.

They need to open them first.

If it's like the BBQ one on mine it takes a bit of force to open it.

Dont know if its the same type but on ours the boiler vent cover (Truma I think) needs pressure applied in the center of the cover then it comes away easily.
Struggled for years until I found this out

Try youtube there may be video for the boiler cover. Don't force it the actual flue the cover is on may break as did ours!!!

That's exactly my fear my fear
I know they need to be tight
To remain in place when travelling, but ?.
The previous owner must have
Coped.
Not to concerned to a degree about the bbq.
But the boiler one I need to get off.

I use a plastic pipe to fill the aquaroll, at the tap end I cut it so it acted as a flue cover remover, I cant find a picture, however they did make them out of wood too.

Nowadays they sell plastic flue cover removers

You couldnt make it up. A company makes covers that are hard to lift, then makes a tool to lift them. Double money? Its like Thetford selling the gunk for top tanks, then selling another gunk to do away with the black stuff the first gunk causes.

Those flue covers need to be pulled out and forward from the bottom lip, whilst pressing in the centre. Our bbq point is just the same.

Up date been to storage as birdman 101 advised pressed middle and it came off.
It was tight cleaned it and put small amount of grease on the lugs and hey presto of and on no problem.

It gets worse, that 'tool' cost mere pence to produce, but retailing at near £16! Talk about fleecing the gullible!

Selling a tool at all to overcome a problem that is down to plain poor design in the first place really is taking the wee wee, they should give it away on demand as a service to long suffering customers of their inferior products!

Superior German engineering, my backside! So many caravan parts of German origin are truly dreadful design - Alko spare wheel carrier must rate as one of the most diabolical!

Ah, i see you have the Mk 1 version with the loose fit attachment. You need the Mk 2 that has the quick-release toggle for speedy attach/disconnect at the tap. I'd take a photo but the vans up in storage.

The strap is elasticated from safety glasses, the bit with what looks like a knot is the plastic retainer so they don't fall off the head when working.

When used on the filling pipe the retainer holds the pipe onto the tap so it doesn't come off, even of full pressure
