If the person was wise they would have had the caravan facing either down on up the slope and not across it! We along with many others have been on worse. LOL!

Yes,Farncomb Farm, up in front, down at back (or was it the other way around?), plus the mud. There should be more sites near the M4 which are open all year. Will mention this to Lorne Hill when we visit them soon, it's conveniently situated near J13.

Almost certainly pitched on a site like that, but swung the van to be nose-tail along the slope and didn't use awning, not side-side!

Wouldn't knowingly book a site like that though! Got all the gear to cope with a sloping pitch, but a hill side is another story!

Funnily enough I was thinking that. It's one of the reasons we like sites that allow you to set up whichever way you want rather than all in neat rows.

It certainly does.    The legs on the caravan still needs to be lowered a bit more, to level the caravan.

Went to our favourite site in France, May/June, during the stunning weather, I rang them a few day earlier and asked if they had a particular pitch available. It is normally a two berth pitch, but as they were no where near full, and we use the site often, we could have it exclusively for us. The pitch is huge, so we decided on a suitable area, stuck the caravan on it, and for the first time EVER, with a slight bit of jockey wheel adjustment, the van was spot on…….Happy days! €17 a night by the way. 👍

I was always taught caravan accross the slope and in my 55 years of camping have seen two caravans run down hill and the carnage it caused, luckily no injuries.
