There is an excellent well signposted caravan parking area on the M1 at Donington Park services. In fact so well signposted that it was full of half a dozen Hungarian HGVs having a long break and a brew up on a portable stove.
M40 at Oxford has some nice services, signposted coaches and caravans only. OK if you can get in there. We ended up in there with the caravan next to an Irish Plate tractor unit, with a Dutch plate trailer, who we disturbed as he appeared to have just poured some steaming green liquid on the ground. Why go to the trouble of parking really close to the facilities and then empty your waste fluids on the floor? If you look on google maps, May 2021, there is one coach, along with two slurry tankers, five HGVs and a car trying to hide in the end space.
We tend to just get the Sat Nav to find nearby supermarket petrol, park in the end of their car park, get some much cheaper meal deals and considerably cheaper fuel to.
