Hi I have a Bailey pegasus Acona 2009 and currently looking for a full length awning for it and not sure which size awning I should get. It's a 6 berth with triple bunks, dinette bed and double bed at the front which is a U shaped seating area b4 turning into a bed it also has an end bathroom. I'm so confused on the size I should be getting. Someone did think that I should get a size 17 which they said was approximately 1050 to 1075 whatever this means I'm quite new to caravaning and would be very grateful of any advice on this please. Many thanx guys..... Kerry 😊
Each awning manufacturer apply their own sizes independently so you can't go by size alone, not unless you know what make you want then you can usually check on the manufacturer's website (if they have one). To obtain the correct size you need to follow the rule and do a basic check which the link below will show you how to obtain the correct measurement.
Every awning manufacturer is slightly different so the best thing to do is what tango suggests above and measure from the ground on one side, round the awning rail to the ground on the other side. Once you have that measurement, go to the website of the manufacturer you are interested in and look at what will fit. Awnings always have a range, so for example, an Isabella Commodore awning that is called a 1025 fits caravans with a ground to ground measurement of between 1011 and 1035.
