Hi everyone just gone to check my caravan which has a sola panel . I've got a green light on in side the van which sergusts to me that the battery is charged. But got no power in the van ? Any suggestions please 🤔🤔
sounds more like the green light is saying the panel is making a charge but your battery isnt holding it, which is confirmed by things working when the car is connected, however strictly speaking that shouldnt be the case as only the fridge should be working then. try taking your battery off and give it a proper charge using a car charger, its either that or you buy a new battery
Taking a guess that the green light may be on/associated with the solar panel charge controller. If so then worth checking the battery supply inline fuse, usually very close to the battery, and in the positive cable to the caravan electrics control box.
Chances are the solar charger is connected direct to the battery and bypasses that fuse. When connected to the car, again the supply would bypass that fuse, hence everything working.
You don't say what van/model/year etc. so anyone familiar with the specifics of the van can't really comment in detail.
