Trickle charging full won't harm a battery it should keep it in good shape.

you really should be trickle charging it on your return and leave it until you need it so its getting some charge, then a bit of discharge and then it tops it back up until your ready to go away, or connect it up to a solar panel. you also need to look at where your storing it, up off the floor, cold damp concrete is not good, which describes most garage floors

you say you bought it 14 months ago , did you trickle charge it over the winter months.
leaving a battery without charging for a few months will ruin it

As stated in previous posts batteries become defective due to them not being used, the plates become coated with phosphate. A regular trickle charge with a smart charger will prolong the life of the battery.

A smart charger is a good buy, I use mine permanently whilst parked up at home, it's more sophisticated than the 15 year old on-board one. Both Aldi and Lidl have them on sale regularly.

Leave the trickle charger on all the time it’s at home to keep in the best possible condition. It’s what I do with mine had no problems.

We always take our battery off over winter and give a charge every now and then with our Aldi charger. That battery is now 6 years old and working just fine. I would usually have put it back on the caravan by now, but the weather has been so awful that I haven't done it yet.

How long it should last is a slightly grey area, as use and storage play a part, but as little as 14 months is not to be expected from a quality battery maintained properly.
The current one on my van is coming up to 6 years old and still in very good order, it's regularly tested with a sophisticated battery analyser that assesses it's storage capacity as well as state of charge, and shows minimal deterioration. It's a middling brand, so not an extremely expensive premium battery. I've had other batteries last 10 years when I've bothered to care for them properly.
Batteries self discharge, so if left unused for longish periods, they will still go flat AND suffer damage. Keeping them on a trickle/maintenance charge can prolong their life considerably, 10 or 12 years is not unknown. Premium batteries often come with a 5 year warranty (subject to correct use), so in excess of 5 or 6 years life is not an unreasonable expectation.
Mine's left in the van year round, with a small 'trickle charge' solar panel connected, I may bring it home once during the winter when the solar panel is not terrible effective, and give it a proper charge. BUT it's never allowed to go flat!

My caravan is kept at home, making it very easy to deal with. I take my battery off for the winter as soon as I know I have finished with the caravan for the year, and it goes back on once I start thinking about using it again. This year so far the weather hasn't been very inspiring so the battery is still off as we haven't been anywhere. While the battery is off the van it is kept fully charged with my smart-charger until it goes back on, then the night before we go away I plug the caravan into the mains to cool down the fridge, which has been filled with stuff from the house fridge. Plugging it in also keeps the battery topped up.
