I have a 2008 Bailey Pageant and need to change the 13pi plug. Having opened it up and written down all the wires I have discovered that it appears to be wired incorrectly. I have investigated and rung Baileys and to no avail. I have found slightly different configurations.
Is there a final fixed configuration and does anyone have a diagram?

2008 was the 'change-over' year when caravan manufacturers swapped from fitting two 7 pin plugs to one 13 pin plug. Depending if your van was produced pre or post September that year determines whether the 13pin plug was originally a factory fit or after market fit. Either way, a 16 year old van is likely to have had a replacement plug fitted at some point, so an error in the wiring is a potential risk that may not be down to Bailey.
The Caravan Club guide to tow bar wiring is useful, as it both gives the correct wiring connections, but also a little history and the 'variations' to the basic plug wiring that have occurred over the years, and insight into the whole wiring set up.
I have a Bailey 2009 Burgundy and from memory the wiring colours were slightly different from those I saw as on various wiring diagrams that I could find in both colours and positions. I'd try a phone call or email to Customer Service or Technical department at Bailey and see what they say, they have been excellent at answering my questions in the past. Monty15's info will help as some wires are thicker with the same colour.

When I recently changed the 13 pin plug on my Elddis, I found that the wiring colours did not match the colours on the Maypole instructions. However they did match a Bailey diagram that I found online:
Pin 1 Yellow
Pin 2 Blue
Pin 3 White
Pin 4 Green
Pin 5 Brown
Pin 6 Red
Pin 7 Black
Pin 8 Orange
Pin 9 Blue/Brown
Pin 10 Red/Brown
Pin 11 Green/White
Pin 12 Not used
Pin 13 Blue/White
I think this was for a Bailey Pursuit, but it may be applicable to older models.
