Definitely, when away for several weeks - not that we could leave ours in kennels anyway as one of them has epilepsy and is on 2 lots of medication which has to be given at different times, twice a day, 12 hours apart! He also still has seizures fairly often so needs to be monitored night and day.

I am camping at C&CC Cheddar Mendip Heights right now, and when I arrived, I was asked if I had an awning and I said I only had a wind out canopy.

I booked a hard standing pitch without awning, and was not charged for having a wind out canopy even though it is listed as an awning by Fiamma!

I've been on sites that charge for awnings with our MH, but never paid the extra, bit still used the wind out awning with no queries.

Never been charged to wind out a canopy / awning - only been asked if we have an awning to peg out which would be charged. Think the word "awning" gets used for both the wind out and the full tent like attachment.

As I said, CCC wanted to charge me:
CCC: are you using an awning?
Me: I don’t know yet, but it’s only a wind out canopy.
CCC: Doesn’t matter, that’ll be £x if you’re going to use it.
Me: then I won’t, thanks.
That was a number of years ago, looks like things have changed (which is good), but it made me very wary! Maybe it was just that site, that manager….

We might, but only if the overall total came to £25 a night or less, including EHU unless it was metered. We don't generally use much.

Just had an email of final details like barrier entry code etc. for the CAMC CL site I've booked for this weekend, I was a bit peeved about being charged an extra £1/night for the dog without any benefit for it (nothing on site to justify the extra, and already a fairly hefty £30/night without site toilet or shower!), but it gets worse, AND no previous publication of this clause, seems I've got to walk off site and 200 yds up the lane and deposit dog poo bags in a PUBLIC bin in a nearby road! There is no on site bin, and if I use on site general waste bin there's a FINE! TALK ABOUT TAKING THE WEE WEE!

Also got to periodically lift the (BREATHABLE ONLY!) awning carpet up off the GRAVEL, yes gravel, NOT grass!!!! Different statements insist you vacate the site by 11.30am in T&Cs, but now 11.00am on final email!

This site has not set itself up for a good review! Mr Fiddler lives!
