We are currently on a seasonal pitch in North Yorkshire. Our annual insurance is due in the next couple of weeks. Now the problem; the van is stored at a gold storage site out of season (end of october till early march)
and then it is permanently pitched at the seasonal site. This site is part of a working farm with 30 pitches, hobbit houses and the odd static. There are no entrance barriers to the site but has CCTV,a full time warden and security lighting. I am struggling to get insurance ,they quote no barriers as the reason. Any one offer any advice ?
Somewhat different circumstances I appreciate, as we are able to store our caravan at home. We have no barriers on our driveway, but Caravan Guard insure us (at present) with a note on the policy that there are no barriers. Bit extra on the premium, of course.
There would be no room for me to install gates, as there would not be enough space for them to open. The only answer would be barrier posts, but they would be a pain every time we wanted to go out in the car.

I use NFU for our caravan and it’s stored in Devon nearly 200 miles away they just simply ask you questions and quote you used them for over 15yrs. You won’t find them on any compare web sites you have to deal with them direct.
