We store our van there and got an email from them saying that the caravan and equipment sales business has gone into administration. They have confirmed that the storage facility will remain.
Shame. It is really convenient for us for parts and servicing. Will have to find a new servicing and parts supplier.
As have The Caravan Company, Finedon. Caused us problems as damp was diagnosed in our caravan at the service. Found a workshop but got no paperwork and Coachman have been unhelpful.
I think that there are a few mobile servicers around Teesside so will do some research. Service will be due around Easter time next year.
The bonus of storing at Teesside Caravans and getting them to do the servicing was that they would collect the caravan from the storage plot, service it and put it back.
They had a rule that they didn't allow mobile servicers to work in the storage facility (would be tight on space between vans as well as protecting their servicing business I guess). I wonder if they'll change their minds on that....
There is another caravan storage compound just round the corner (Earls Way). When I stored my caravan there, they were happy to have mobile service engineers on site for servicing or fitting motor movers etc
Going of subject a bit, I drive on a regular basis past elldiss at the rear of the factory where they store there caravans.
Some haven't been moved in months.
They made a 150 staff redundant
Recently .
Hope they don't go to the wall
