I’ve recently bought a 2009 Coachman Amara and although I oversaw a damp test being carried out and later carried one out myself I’ve since discovered a damp reading of 30% below the front windows. Now here’s the thing when lifting the rubber seal to check underneath there is no sign of black rotten wood. Indeed the wood construction is of plywood and not soft pine. The wall board is not sort either.
I’ve previously owned a 2002 Coachman Amara and below the front window was damp. I replaced that seal but I seem to remember the construction of the front was pine batten.Can anyone tell me if the construction has changed and would the reading be naturally higher for plywood as opposed to pine batten.
