Hi brent, welcome to the site, let plenty of your friends know you are in the market for a van, ( larger network of someone who knows someone ) thats what we did with our first van and got a cracker from someone's pal who was giving up vanning and wasn't bothered about making a profit, they just wanted someone who would look after their van, pay a decent price and enjoy!
But watch out it is totally addictive............when r we away again?? when can i go?? oh and u will find yourself on this site an awfull lot!!!
Hi Paul , here's just a few to look at , should give you some idea's .
One thing to think about , if you bought a 4 berth caravan you'd get more space , could leave the bed permantly made up at one end , have room to grow .
How about this one starting price 0.99p with no reserve , see what i mean there are some bargins out there , just watch out for damp . Also you'll notice the caravans do seem to all look the same inside until you start looking at newish ones .
Yeah cheers Bryan that's what we've started to do to try and widen the net.
Thanks Wizard - they'res some interesting vans for decent prices there. Thing is they're all spread far and wide. Going to keep a keen eye on ebay though.
On a couple of those a certificate (or lack of it) is mentioned - is it always manditory to get one of these in addition to a receipt?

All caravans manufactured since 1992 by National Caravan Council members are recorded on the CRiS database by their unique 17 digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). This VIN and the caravan description are recorded on a Touring Caravan Registration Document, which is sent to the caravan's registered keeper , i would want a CRiS document if buying a caravan newer than 1992 , unless it's a custom built caravan ( like mine ) they don't always come with a document / VIN number ( mine didn't being custom built , but i was given enough proof by the person selling it that he was the owner ) .
(just been outside speaking to neighbours who are hitched up and are away for the bank holiday weekend to Moffatt - I tried to look pleased for them. )
