Hi
We also had our caravan stolen in may 2005 and had our new one in storage. As our insurer wasn't to happy about us putting it back on the drive.
That was untill we found a new item on the market called the Tight-on hub lock
It replaces the wheel and is one of the only items on the market that will withstand oxy-acetlene (welder) attack
Our caravan was stolen within minutes of me going to work and it took them all of about 3 minutes to weld the locks off and have it away.
Our caravan insurer is now happy for it to return home and at a cost of between £145.00-£180.00 it has also saved us in storage fees
You can contact them on 01924-264600 or 01924 278887
They will send you all the information on it and even a dvd showing people TRY to weld the lock off.
So give them a call and lets stop the thiefs

Had a caravan stolen a while back, have just taken delivery of a new bailey, security devices include an alarm, hitch lock, wheel clamp, leg locks and drive way security post, just wondering if any other devices may be of use, thanks in advance.
Hi Brit
Done all this myself since we had our first van nicked, also have a CCTV camera so we can see who takes the new one, hope it never happens of course, but if it does, then that's us finished with caravanning!!
I also take the jockey wheel off, remove any habitation equipment I can, so if it does go, then they will need to buy lots of bits to go use it, and what a pain that is.
I have a Bulldog Barrier for sale, if any one needs one, double post and vertical bar type, now surplus to requirements but never used, let me know if you are interested before it goes on the free ads. Very heavy, so will need to collect or arrange mutual meeting point.
Cheers
Mick
