Sorry to be a pest but having sorted out caravan and breakdown insurance (with CC and Saga) we now have to find a sensible Travel insurance which will cover us for up to 6 months.  Some quotes have been prohibitive but have now found one which will cover us for the specific period at £127 for the two of us.  However, I have a little niggle....I read on this site about a particular insurance company to be avoided.  Not sure whether it was for Travel insurance or Breakdown, but in any event several people joined in to reinforce the need to avoid them.  Dare I ask for the name of this company once again? - just to be on the safe side.  Want to ensure that it isn't the one I am about to use!  Seem to remember it was initials....

Which company have you found?

Post Office does not look suitable for 6 months Michael.

The 6 month (180 period) is the crux of the problem Jennifer.

Did a search online and found insureandgo.com  They have an Economy insurance covering the period but the payouts are a little less - like 3,000,000 instead of 5,000,000......etc   They are certainly the most reasonable to date and I have now found that a friend also uses them.  They do other periods of time too so worth checking out by anybody.
