Hi Bluey
Problem with buying at the show is that the dealer is probably not anywhere near where you live so you could have to travel a long way to collect it and to have it serviced. You also have to take their offer on your part exchange at the show and they might alter the price when they see the van.
The deals can sometimes be good but if you go back to your local dealer with the same details then I suspect they will match it particularly if they are not represented at the show. We have done this on two occasions and got a better deal.
Don't go at the weekend if you can help it. It is packed and a job to get into the vans. We go and look, get an idea of what we want and then go and look at the van at the dealers where you can spend as much time looking at it as you like.
We once ordered a van at the show and paid the deposit, went home and then decided that we had fallen for the sales patter. Went back the next day and cancelled the order. We did get our deposit back, fortunately. Then went to out local dealer and ordered at our leisure.
Not going this year as we are off in our new van although will miss the accessories stands!!
Hope this helps
------------- John
