I have now aquired a spare wheel of (I hope) the correct size, althought the tyre is a 165 and not a 175; I don't think this will make much difference for a short emergency tow.

To be on the safe side I decided to actually change to wheel and make sure it fit. The wheel brace from my car was slightly big and slipped around the nut. Is there a 'special size' wheel brace for a caravan?

This spare wheel lark has given me a right headache; 'll probably push the van off a cliff if I get probs with the water or heating

Close but NO! However 17 years ago when West Midlands Caravans started in Jackson's yard, I bought the first 2nd hand van he sold, we have been good friends since, so when I chose to return to vanning, he did me a good deal, as he does for everyone. No I am not in his employ, I just like straight dealing.

Hi the 5Jx13 is your rim size. the 5J is the depth of the rim ie 5in.

Hi Musicmaker you dont have to answer this question, but did you get your Sprinter from Canwell Caravans? Hi again music maker the reason why I was asking as I dont think they sold many Sprinter's mine was a 350CT 5 berth (2000) and I loved it. I sold it to Canwell and for security what I do is put my name address and telephone number on laminated cards and hide them everywhere in the van. I hoped the new buyer would ring me so I could know how hes getting on with it. weird I know - ah well.
