Right, I know that ALOT of you seasoned caravaners have big posh vans with all the mod cons and posh interiors but how many of you out there have bought an kna**ered old van (water/damp proof) and done it up, personalised it if you will. Thats what I'm thinking of doing, we have 4 children, 2 dogs, 4 fish and a massive mortgage, we've had the opportunity to buy a particularly ugly caravan and I'm so excited about doing it up, but my OH is embarrased, he thinks everyone will laugh at me.........will you? hi,i love classic and old caravans, also i used to do up classic cars myself, too old now.if there was not people like you around there would be no classics of anything.go for it.you will enjoy it when its finished.promise
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

yeh go for it emaa...marvellous idea,,,my 1973 abbey, was done out beautifully inside :O) my little palace...i was really proud of her,we have an 89/90 caravan now,,and even though Abbey was smaller im alot fonder of the old thing....
Yep Abbey was a great little Gem our first ever caravan and I had great fun refurbishing the seats and making the curtains, fitting the electrics (which was done by my husband who is qualified in electrics) then we went for a bigger van and Naomi took over the rest, painting the walls etc.
We also only ever had good comments about the van on site, even on the CC sites A great little van to tow, never knew she was there, converted us to caravaning
