hello.being new to caravaning we joind the cc and tried to book for easter at the end of feb with all local camp sites booked, can anyone tell me the benifits of the cc as i find uk camp site of more use tha the cc.we are hopeing to book one of the meets with uk camp site as this web site is better and more usefull than cc.thanks Mark.
well the ferry crossings come a bit cheaper so thats my main reason for joining as I can save the membership fee on the first crossing. But you are correct you do have to book early nowadays
Discounted Insurance Quotes for UKCampsite.co.uk visitors! Up to 12.5% off!
The only reason I joined was so that I could get their insurance. It worked out cheaper for me than others as I couldn't get a quote off some companies due to storage restrictions. Apart from that I can't see much of an advantage, as you say most weekends are fully booked already.
The Only reason we joined we particualy wanted to stay on the Wirrel and Chester site, never used one since as they are too expensive even as a member, I forgot to cancel DD but will be o the ball when renewal comes this year.
C & CC is not to bad as we take advantage of Age Concession Rate and the breakdown cover
The main attraction for me was the CL network. Also the discounted ferry fares and their overseas travel brochure works well for us. I recently changed my van and the CC Insurance worked out better than others. All in all, I find it worth the £35 or so each year.
Do you mean apart from having an excellent campsite network of around 200 sites. Insurance products that are second to none. A comprehensive touring abroad set-up including excellent guide books and often very good prices on ferries. Excellent technical advice when needed. Apart from that not much reason at all!!!!
Hi, Have to agree with the above two comments, we make full use of the cl sites. there are normally a few near to where we would like to stay and at approx £6 a night inc ehu, awning and dog it puts most commercial sites to shame. Some may say 'but you don't have toilets and showers' ok some don't but most vans do have, or at least a toilet and sink...

I have only ever been a member of C&CC, but reading the comments above, seems like I am in the wrong club. However, all my "kids" have tents or trailer tents, and the club I am in caters for the family. Seems most sites in the CC mag relate only to adult campers. I suppose at the end you decide what is best for you. But I am tempted.
I enjoy the monthly magazine too which works out at a similar price to others and there are lots of other benefits too... insurance, advice... even if we don't use the site much
Hi all, don't think that the CC is just geared up for adults, They have excellent facilities family washrooms etc. Plus there are off road bike tracks, play areas etc..our kids are never bored

Abbey Wood is one good reason it cost us £14 (maximum can't remember exact price) per night in December and £6 for travelcard. Can't think we would have found anywhere for £26 per night in London.
There are also some lovely small sites we love visiting too.
The Insurance was second cheapest last year so will get a quote this year too.
Plenty of rallies and Temporary holiday sites too.
