Have you looked at any of Caravan Club site related threads that may help?

The only reason I joined was so that I could get their insurance. It worked out cheaper for me than others as I couldn't get a quote off some companies due to storage restrictions. Apart from that I can't see much of an advantage, as you say most weekends are fully booked already.

The Only reason we joined we particualy wanted to stay on the Wirrel and Chester site, never used one since as they are too expensive even as a member, I forgot to cancel DD but will be o the ball when renewal comes this year.

C & CC is not to bad as we take advantage of Age Concession Rate and the breakdown cover

Do you mean apart from having an excellent campsite network of around 200 sites. Insurance products that are second to none. A comprehensive touring abroad set-up including excellent guide books and often very good prices on ferries. Excellent technical advice when needed. Apart from that not much reason at all!!!!

I enjoy the monthly magazine too which works out at a similar price to others and there are lots of other benefits too... insurance, advice... even if we don't use the site much

Abbey Wood is one good reason it cost us £14 (maximum can't remember exact price) per night in December and £6 for travelcard.  Can't think we would have found anywhere for £26 per night in London. 

There are also some lovely small sites we love visiting too.

The Insurance was second cheapest last year so will get a quote this year too.

Plenty of rallies and Temporary holiday sites too.
