Hi...
I am no expert here...except perhaps being an expert at not being one.
My only advice for the first trip is plan the route and then just get on with it. It will be far easier if the route is already one that you are familiar with solo, just take your time allow that bit of extra clearance on left turns and I'm sure that all will be well.
A good pair of mirrors are necessary....in a straight line, if the morrors get through the gap then the Van will! (Assuming of course that they stick out far enough!)
If you have an idea what the site lay out is before you go searching for the pitch, you will unlike me not end up down a long cul-de-sac and have to practice your best reversing for 100 yards.
I have been towing for 18 months or so now and it does get easier, although I have to concentrate much more than when driving solo.
I now look forward to the tow, rather than fear it like I used to.
Good Luck
Mr Ulti-Mate
