It's great to get away from the grown up kids that have left home but still want Moms cooking at weekends. I also get a little fishing in and get away from the constant visits from the numerous inlaws and SWMBO asking  'can you just do this little job for me'. I enjoy the peace and relative quiet.

It is still one of the best holidays because you do not have to work to a time table, sit around in airports and above all you know who has been sleeping in your bed! On top of that you have the best choice of views (on some sites) and you don't have to travel miles and miles to get to a local site for the odd night away.
Whilst on a journey, you have your own cafe behind you which saves a fortune on the usual Cafe's, if you see something you like you can stop and see it properly.

Its a way of life!

Dam good question that

I have been camping since I was a toddler and never did get bored with the thrill of camping all over the country with mum and dad, then when I was married I got my own kit together and introduced the wife to the pleasures of camping.

we have strayed off to foreign lands and exotic islands for fabulous holidays in the past but we always return to camping, why ? because we love it ,

and thanks to this website we have made many new friends and hope to meet many more.

HAHA! unfortunetly I've never been on one of those them there sites!  Will be sure to check one out!
