Hi,
Welcome to UKCS. It was really hard to read your post as you left the caps lock on, easy to do, but may explain the slight delay in getting answers.
1. Status aerials can be very poor, depending on how well the wires are connected in the back of the aerial wall socket, but as your van is not new assume that it is ok on that front. First check and see if the booster is switched on, small box usually hidden in wardrobe or similar. Probably has a red light on it to show on. Obviously the reception quality will also vary depending on where you are.
2. Hot water system, how to use it depends on which sort you have, but with a Truma one you need to leave the hot side of the tap open until water comes out. This is because the tank has to be filled first (10 litres). Also check that the drain plug for the tank is not open.
Hope this helps, come back if not there's plenty on here who'll help, but try giving more details like what is your van, how old and what make of system you ae having trouble with.
Good luck
Mike

We found that when we actually switched on the Status it gave us a pretty good picture.

Prior to that, we'd spent about 6 months wondering why the picture was darned useless.

We used the TV this weekend, it was fine (well sort of fine) BBC2 recep was a bit blurred.  I tried the Freeview digital thingy in, at home this works fine from the internal aerial (no booster), I had hoped with the Status Booster it would have picked something up but this didn't happen.  Any answers?

It could well depend on where you rae - the digital signal is not as readily available yet as analogue. We have Sky and get digital from that but a digibox would be useless here.

Might sound silly but you are retuning the TV arent you?

For example the channels you have programmed in at home wont usually work when you move to an other area,

You have to re tune all the channels in when you get to site.

The freeview works on the A1 channel which doesn't budge and it should retune itself into the relevent local signal.  With digital you don't retune the TV.

I dont see aywhere that Lady Di said she was using digital TV??

And besides, even with digital TV you dont have to retune the TV, but you do have to search for all the channels again like you do when you first install it.

hi see here...

http://www.bailey-caravans.co.uk/downloads/2005_Bailey_Handbook.pdf

if you cannot get the hot water to work it could be a stuck non return valve, these get pushed back by frost and stop water going to the hot tank.can be replaced quite cheaply.   www.caravanfaultfinder.co.uk if you have hot water in the bathroom and not the kitchen it could be a faulty micro switch on the tap itself.[:o)]
