Buy an aerial like you have on your house the longer the better these are cheap, try B&Q, Maplins, mount it on the highest pole you can buy, about £20 from a caravan shop, when you are arriving at a site look where the aerials on nearby houses are pointed, and wether or not the are horizontal or vertically polarised and you do the same. Take a look at our gallery at our van to give you an idea. To be honest the best way is satellite, it is cheap and free now but if you want to go terrestrial this is the way to go. We always got a excellent picture using this method, no matter where we camped.
I am an expert on this subject and can get really boring about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
