Well, if I read my posts, also on the lookout for a new caravan. I have decided to go for a 2-3year old caravan, to get the newish state but not pay the new price. We have a family of 4 and tow with a Pahero 4x4 but still conscious of the weight.

So far the ones we have liked as we are a family of 4, is the Elddis odyssey 524/540 or the Bailey Pageant.

The Pageant wins because its a popular make so should hold value well for resale in the distant future, plus parts maybe easier to get.

Anyway - thats what I think so far but no doubt may end up buying something different.

I agree with u Lynny - that's what I liked about 'em. 

But... we've got our new 'un now - a Herald Clarion!

When it comes down to it IMHO its down to personal choice. I personally like a van on sight or not.If you are determined to go for L shape lounge then Bailey is the best choice cos they give more `headroom ` near the front blinds as they are not so sloping.Don`t make an expensive mistake sit in it as you would watching telly or whatever. Pull the blinds down get comfy. I dont really think there are any `bad` caravans its just choice.
