hi everyone out there myself and partner have just bought an eccles topaz van but have no idea what year it is, i think maybe eighties any ideas? we used to caravan a lot until we moved to east sussex and did not feel the need of a caravan, back in birmingham now and bought a van its like starting all over again, however it is like riding a bike you never forget

hi welcome to ukcs.[:o)]my book says as follows.......

CI eccles topaz - 1980./length = 12'.9inch / width = 6'.10inch / unladen weight = 12.8 cwt / max gross = 16 cwt / maker in business = yes (under swift group) contact sterling caravans TEL 01482-841042./identification on the drawbar = first two digits give the year....... hope this helps some.[:o)]not sure what year yours is.

We have owned two Eccles Topaz caravans. The forst was a 1979 model which was around 12 feet long. From memory 1979 was the last year they had glass side windows, after that they moved to all acrylic. Our latest Topaz was new in 2004 and a world away from the original one.
