Hi all

Those still at home!

Is there any other route finder than AA, RAC and Multi Map?

Im travelling to Ayre on sat and some of the routes suggested dont look suitable for caravans.

The AA used to have caravan route selector on it.

Any help much appreciated

Not sure but I do know on the AA routefinder it tells you if a certain road is not suitable for caravans.

Checked the route they give and it takes in all the hills.

Will look closer at maps tomorrow and pick out a route.

On the Via Michelin Site you can "customize your route" when this is selected you can change the car type and also whether or not you are towing a caravan, I don't know if this really alters the route because you've got a caravan on or just adjusts the fuel economy figures.

We always use www.mappy.com if you put in your route then click on options it will give you the option of choosing which type of car whether you are towing a caravan it will even calculate your fuel costs and you can choose what currency you would like it in.

What ever you do don't go anywhere near the M6 Juncs 27 to 33. Heard on radio they are as bad as yesterday.  I know I was in it yesterday 1 1/2 hours to get from one junction to the next.  Until we diverted and used the A roads.

Be carefull about using TomTom, its taken me along some roads my car had problems with.
