Eribas have had brackets on both sides for years so that the table can be used outside.  Mine has a telescopic leg for the 'free' end so it can be adjusted to account for any adverse slope.

Many 'vans have free-standing tables, so you can use them anywhere you choose.  If it's not free-standing, a bracket on the side of the 'van would only be useful on a level site - any slope in either direction and the table won't sit level and won't be usable.

Oher ideas are good though!

Hi Scampi, we had such a bracket fitted at the fornt side of the van and had the problem you mentioned, moved it to over the wheel arch and it worked fine, well as long as we didn't have to use a wheel ramp, which was cured by using a small block of wood or two.

Here's to wider doors, i could do with them.   ( for wheelchair ! )
Totally Agree, one of my pet hates is the obvious lack of touring caravans that are adapted at the many shows in this country, and even the lack of static ones as well. At the SECC show there was one caravan (static) which had a lovely ramp up to the veranda and you could get all the way round the outside of the van, unfortunately the inside was not adapted and the living room was as far as you could get. Not exactly very helpful, amazing how disabled people can go an entire holiday without having to use a bathrooom or cook a meal, just sit in the living area and watch out the window!
hopefully next year we will see an improvement in the shows attitude and the attitude of caravan makers, I know many folks who would be very happy to see a disabled friendly caravan at the shows and several of them would probably order one there and then, not the same when you have to get the van then see if adaptions can be done, at extra cost! Ah well we can dream!  [:D] ( put me box away again!)

Hi megabyte, bit pricey for that one but I reckon with a bit of ingenuity a cheaper version could be easily done on a DIY basis!
