Hello everyone,

We are looking to buy a new awning for our caravan.  For the budget we have in mind we can afford some of the suncamp ones (sigma lite, cardinal or prestige).  Does anyone know of any sites on the internet that have really good prices on these.  Or does anyone have one and can you recommed them.  We were also thinking of the sunporch to add on to it next year, has anyone any experience of them and can you still get them.  Any tips on were to get cheap awnings would be appreciated. (have tried ebay but none to fit and in our area)

Thanks

Maria

Try www.e-awnings.co.uk I bought my Sunncamp Ultima 390 from there- cheap and quick delivery. (We couldn't afford a traditional awning)

Nice site gillsid

Cheaper than Towsure too, shame they don't have any 2005 prestige in our size but Towsure have the prestige at £289 I think and the annex is less too, so even the 2006 are a good bargin.

Thanks Maria

Regarding Ultima 390- the first time we put it up,probably 20-30mins, hadn't prepared by looking at the poles etc first. It will get quicker now we know exactly which poles are which. We are totally new to this so we really didn't have a clue. It is very easy to put up. The only problem we had was that we were at Ebury hill in Shropshire. The hardstanding we were on were used to store tanks in WW2 so it was very hard. We were on the edge of the concrete but you are supposed to peg the sides under the van- we couldn't really do that.

PS Ebury Hill is beautiful, woodland and trees, the tank storage pitches are not unsightly at all

Hi we found this site when looking for a awning, have no idea what they are like but they appear very well priced if you are on a budget, we ended up buying a secondhand one from the local caravan dealer.

Hello all

Thanks so much for all the great info, in the end we have ordered the Cardinal and an annex from Westmidlands Caravans ( same as the other link above) Got the two for £380 inc free postage and super service.  They could not have been more friendly and helpfull.  Can't wait until it arrives tomorrow.  Thanks for the advice recon we got the awning annex free at that price.

Steve thanks for your help too we tracked one of those down at Jacksons in Coventry and they are ok but  the material is not as good as the Sunncamp and ect but for that price they are still very good. We bought a secondhand one on Monday and ended up taking it back yesterday as it was so uwful. But glad you got a bargin.

Regards Maria
