Ours was a Thompson T Line don't know what year it was but it had glass windows and no electrics, the inside had been decorated with wallpaper and a border! I saw an identical one on a site at Easter, they were built to last in those days.We had some great holidays in it before we changed it for an Ace Courier then on and on from there, Great times.

A Piper 1400 5 Berth.

My father went and looked at it then came round past my work and told me it was the best van he had seen in ages. Bought it for £500 and sold it 3 years later for £400

our first was a elddis cyclone made in 82,which we got last year.we upgraded to a bailey ranger not long ago.I did say to her in doors that I did feel a bit embarresed towing an old scruffy van.I got that look that only a woman has and quickly said sorry to the van(gerty)for hurting its feelings.

Having been tenters and then trailer tenters we finally decided to go the whole hog and buy a van.  We bought a 2003 Swift Conqueror 640 Sal on 26th April, and went away on the 28th.  A good job we went away will friends who have owned caravans for years.  We went to the truck fest in Peterborough so we had to take the jenny.

Had a few teething problems, but enjoyed it so much we are looking for somewhere for this coming weekend.  My hubby works every other weekend otherwise we would hardly be at home!

First was a wacky French folding caravan called a Sterckeman Autopli 330t which was bought to test the water shall we say (excellent van, gutted I sold it...to Cole5x5 incidentally), the second was a 1992 Swift Silhouette Diamond (excellent van again, gutted I sold it...couldnt be bothered making bed up all the time)which has recently been replaced with a 2003 Swift Challenger 490SE, and ive even chosen my next van which will be a Sterling Eccles Explorer!

From a frame tent to a Conway trailer tent,we saw a 1979 Monza 1600 in 1989 bought it for £1500 no mains electrics, gas lamp, 12volt light, 2 gas burner stove, foot pump for water, nylon upholstory,no shower, portapotti, oh also plastic windows.

We loved the Monza  5 vans later and kids grownup a new Bailey Senator Louisana twin axle.
