I am changing my present caravan in a couple of weeks and have just returned from a long weekend with my old van. I now have to empty the old van ready for the trade in, does anyone know what I have to leave with the old van. For instance the gas pipe that connects the fixed regulator to the bottle, the water pump. I suppose in effect what belongs to me and what belongs to the van sort of thing.
I left the water pump and the battery(it was two years old) and anything that was for the van only ie, removealble cushions. In the new van the dealer asked witch type of gas I would be using and supplied the correct new pipe. Ask the dealer ( before collection) what is coming with the new van or what you will need, that should give you an idea as to what you can take out and reuse. Enjoy the new van.

I suppose the real answer is to leave anything that is standard equipment. You might not leave the gas bottle but the water pump is part of what came with the van. Funny there was a report on TV last night about people that remove the light bulbs when they move house!!!
hi all,is there some new rule that says all new caravans must be supplied with a 25m electric cable?if correct then it should apply to secondhand vans you would think.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
When I picked my new Van up last year there was a bloke trading in his old van for a new one, he was having an argument with the salesman because he had taken the Trumatic heater out!!! What a plonker. Needless to say he did not get his new van.
