We picked one up at a car boot sale for a few pounds. Ours just has a clamp on the A frame which is hinged. Just opened it up and popped the new one in. Very simple.
hi no,the long shaft can be a different size and are not interchangeable.you must measure your shaft before buying to save taking it back 34MM / 42MM / 48MM
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

thanks will measure up and go and have a look at some at the weekend just hope they easy to fit
just changed mine, just raise the front and put a block under the hitch to take the weight, then release the nut on the side, and keep winding, the two parts will come off, ie lift the handle out, and drop the wheel section, that presuming its built into the hitch, if its on the side, usually a couple of bolts
you spelled spelt wrong as well, but don't worry about it :-)
Having bought the wrong size of jockey wheel once, the next time I took it off - as above - and took it with me. Oh, and don't be seduced by one of the great big wheels, they look great but can be a real pain when the pitch requires a very low nose. I learned that one from trailers thank goodness.
However, I'm more interested in the "wonky" part. Are you sure it is the jockey wheel itself, or could it be a loose mount?
------------- best cheers

I wanted to change the standard one on my Pageant for a Pnuematic one (Alko) but the wheel looked huge. I thjought it may look to big if fitted so held off from buying one, do they come in difernt sizes with Alko?
I have a complete jockey wheel assembly off a 1998 Bailey Ranger. Its yours free or any one else if you collect. We are in Worcestershire.

whilst getting my van ready to go away i noticed i have a flat spot on the jockey wheel itself am i able to just replace the wheel or do i have to change the whole winder pole as well?
