Hi my name is john, my wife had a stroke 2 years ago and is now left without the use of her left side. We have been able to get her into the caravan with a push and a shove lol and the aid of  brut force. But we have a problem getting her out, while she can stand in the doorway she is not able to lower herself onto the first step outside the caravan.

Help any ideas pleaseeeeeeeeeee its a Danette 14foot, old bur solid.

Thanks John

Hi I have seen a portable lift that unfolds and stands next to the door for disabled access.

I'll have a look and see if I can find a link.

email from papa pip today, hope this helps

Most of the folks I know have had adaptions done by KC mobility, I know they do a seat hoist into a motorhome, or footplate hoist. Depends which is best for the customer, I seem to remember one of the folks at the centre saying that they will pick up and return to your doorstep, not absolutely sure about that though!

Hope that is what the person is after, their address is-

other sloution i have seen adapted to use as a walking aid is to get a proper scaffolding plank which are light weight and they act as a ramp from the awning to the doorway (not the wooden planks) they seem to some sort of reinforced board with some kind of non slip material covering them....im sure someone knows the kind i mean

from papa pip,today email

Not 100% sure. 99.9, but I believe that if you have a structural adaption made then you can claim the purchase tax back from HM, could be a few grand off a new van!
