Hello again all

Im looking for a quick and easy tv aerial and saw one that sticks to side of van with three rubber suction cups.

Has anyone got any feedback on these?

Regards

Geoff

Personally I would go for the Grade  VP 530/14

http://www.gradeuk.co.uk/products/antennas/vpimage.asp

using the multi-mast,

http://www.gradeuk.co.uk/products/accessories/masts.asp

I always had bother keeping the sucker ones attached, no problems with the uni-mast and attachments, never once came off in 4 years.

I've got the image 530/18 and the multi mast and the universal bracket. It's a damn good aerial and I have had better reception on sites than those with the posh (and bloody expensive) Status 530. We only use it if our trusty (but crap) Status 513 is struggling or we want freeview.

We have a freeview box on our caravan and use it with the 530 and we get over 50 channels. The 513 can get a few on a very good strong signal area but can't touch the 530.

It takes a few minutes to point it in the right direction (tip - just look where everyone else is pointing!) but once it's up it's sorted. We run the coax through the back window (it's only thin so still seals the window shut) although I have bought an external plug in gadget (http://www.gradeuk.co.uk/store/shelf.asp?shelfid=49S51S1) but I haven't got around to it yet - still trying to see where I can get it through to the TV shelf!

Don't waste your money on the Status 513 - yeah they look good but the Image is very cheap and really does the job well.

I wouldn't go for the suction cup thing as a good wind might remove it and then you may rip your cables. Use the mast like we do with a A frame bracket or try this - http://www.gradeuk.co.uk/store/product.asp?spc=09-6080&shelfid=49S50S1 it clips on the awning or use the stick on pad to position it.

Hope this helps.

Regards
