Hi all!

I wonder if any one can help!  My partner and I have been looking for a 2nd hand adapted caravan (or motor home) for a wheelchair user but without success! My partner is paraplegic.

New caravan is out of the question, which leaves purchasing one and adapting it ourselves.

Has anyone else done this?  Can you offer any advise?  We'd love to hear from anyone who can help!

hi nomates,

not had any experience in adapting a 'van,but what i will say is that if you get the right contacts then you should be able to do pretty much anything.

we bought a written off 'van and got a car body repairer to fix it for us...saved us a fortune.it doesn't always pay to go through a caravan shop as they quoted us 3 times as much to repair and had a massive waiting list!!!

I saw there caravans at the mobility show at the weekend a wheelchair can get anywhere inside it.
