Hi,

We are about to buy a motor mover for our caravan, probably the Reich Comfort model.

Just looking for some advice from anyone who has fitted one themselves to their caravan.  Was it easy to fit? Were there any problems? How long did it take to fit?

Cheers,

Helen:)

If you are buying one you should get it professionally fitted, on most the price includes fitting.

We have one of the original Carver Movers and have NEVER regretted getting it, for us it was essential.

Couldn't agree more Kjell. Couldn't and wouldn't caravan without ours. We have the Carver/Truma one as well.

Hi

We had a Trauma fitted by a local dealer about 3 months ago. Now we wonder how we ever lived without it. We have to park the van down a long alley with a 90 degree turn which would be imposssible (for me anyway!!!) to reverse into. With the mover, 5 minutes and we're hooked up and ready to roll.

Not a cheap item I admit, but it works well.

Hi

I fitted a Powrwheel to my Bailey Ranger last week. Once I'd figured out what went where, and had a dry run fastening it together it went on easily.

The instructions are excellent, the hardest bit is lifting the assembly into place ( I found standing the rollers on 2 small paint tins held it at the right height.

Fixing the control unit was straight forward, the instructions for the electrics are clear, clipping the cables into place is probably is the most time consuming bit.

The adjustments are easily carried out, with a spacer provided, as long as you take your time you can't go wrong.

All in all it took about 2.5 hours, and works really well, I can't wait to use it for real.

HTH

Paul
