I don't know much about Swift but providing the van is damp free and the floor doesn't squeak I would say you are getting a fair buy if everything is included. If £2000 is the asking price why don't you try to knock a few more £'s off?

not bad , just watch for damp.bad areas on these are round the front windows and the back corners and along the roofline seam where it meets the top of the inner walls. seen some awful examples of damp on these vans.
The swift challenger is a lovely caravan. I started caravanning 2 years ago and looked at lots before buying the challenger 495 sel 1994 for £4000. As the previous reply says providing its damp free it and in good condition it sounds good. What you may be able to do is get an insurance quote from the caravan club on the model and when they go through the quote they give you the market value of the van, mine at the time was £4500. Good Luck & hopefully happy caravanning.
Same as the others say, as long as its not damp and it has the layout and equipment you like in it then go for it you won't regret it, damp meters are only about £15 in B&Q you must not buy it without checking it all over inside first, made that mistake myself and its an expensive one.
The swift challenger is a lovely caravan we got one last year. When we took it home and started emptying the cupboards we noticed that the front side overhead lockers were ringing wet. We reckoned that the water was getting in through the rail that runs down the centre of the roof at the front. Luckily we took it back to the guy and he gave us a full refund. Wife was gutted cause she really fell in love with it. It was a 1990 model and we only paid £1200 for it and like yourself everything was included.
I also have a 1991 swift challenger. Its a 390/2SE although its a 2 berth. Very pleased with it.Immaculate condition, as yours should be for that price. Had mine 3 years and paid £2500.00 from Lowdham Leisureworld. As everyone else says check its not damp. If its not from a dealer I think you should not pay more than £1500 max and for that it should be in tip top condition.
Hi, we bought a second hand van recently and regret not taking a damp meter - the van did not smell but when we took it away for the first time we were not completely dry. Also make sure the electrics are working properly - I would suggest taking a converter so you can plug it in to the guys house to ensure the transformer works properly. At that price with everything you would want and if it is damp free then I would say you have a bargain. Also remember to check out the laden and unladen weights for you car and that of the van to make sure the outfit is safe to tow.
