Hi ,

I seem to remember someone on this forum giving a tip about placing one hand on the top of the steering wheel and then truning in the direction that you want to go in order reverse correctly........

Is my memory servig me well??? Please can anyone advise

Hi mattyg you place your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel that way if your hand moves to the left the caravan will go left peter

The one that i saw was to place both hands at the bottom of the wheel and if you want to turn the caravan to the left you move you left hand up. If you want to turn the caravan to your right you move your right hand up.

I just find it much easier to let the OH do the reversing and I keep out of the way :)

Point and pull

point in the direction you want the van to go, then pull down with the other hand, this creates a 'v' between the car and van, start to reverse once you have the 'v' striaghten car wheels and reverse back slowly.

Can recommend the caravan club manouvering course, well worth the money
