i have got x reg landrover discovery derv excellent but very gutsey to run thinking of citroen c8 2.2 derv will it do the same job does anybody have one
Hi There Alan I have a TD5 Diesel and I would not swop it for the world as long as I continue to tow. As for been thirsty I can average 30mpg around the doors easy and up to 35/40 on a long run.
Go for the Citreon, I have a C8 2lt deisel and no problem towing our Sterling Moonstone, plus it is complete luxury with 8 seats etc also loads of storage space with the large rear bench seat in the folded position.
If you can cope with a Citeron C8 then you dont need a Disco, but if you need a Disco the Citeron will be useless.
Simply they are worlds apart, each capable of doing its own thing but not the same thing.
To all you know all,s who doubt that I can get between 35/40mgp on a long run should first of all learn how to drive a 4x4. I have no reason what so ever to give false infomation about what I get in mpg from my discovery TD5.
I suspect that someone has a little bit of jealousy creeping in cause they don,t have one. As for rust rover if you look after your motor wash and polish it. It will last a lot longer. Don,t all cars rust if you have one that do,s not tell the world and we will all buy one.
Woooooo hit a raw nerve there. Won,t have it in 15yrs time. thinking of buying a Range Rover Sport next year. Cannot see the point in keeping a motor for 15 yrs. I like my comfort and mod cons.
