I want one !!!  - anyone forecast this weeks lottery numbers? !!!

Seriously though, we have always loved Bailey caravans and love the fixed bed models - if we won the lottery would definitely be gettin one of these !

have been to view this van on the way back from our hols (isle of mull) this afternoon, and must say it is lovely, fixed walk around rear bed, sep shower, nice decor,  all on single axle, front seats shorter and sink in bedroom, we are seriously thinking of changing our Avondale Eagle 2005, which cost alot more than this for the virginia. How do Bailey do it? Also salesman says once the shows start this model will be a sellout. Might just of been looking for a quick sale.

Looked lovely when I saw the add in June's Practical Caravan but .........looked a bit, well.....odd having the loo and shower on one side of the van with the wash basin actually in the end bedroom and separate!

I know the fixed bed models often have the wash basin in the bedroom itself but usually the shower/loo are at least on the same side of the van and only accessed from the end bedroom.  Just seemed a bit daft to have to use the loo, then come right out of it and not only walk over to the washbasin but to have to walk back from the main living area into the bedroom again to wash your hands. Well, that's certainly what it looks like in PC.

Other than that, it looks beautiful. We almost got a fixed bed last year but when we'd done the measuring of the space needed to be able to fit on our shared drive for loading and fridge cooling before a trip, it was about 2" too wide. We could've got one up there, but wouldn't have been able to reach the mains outlet or open the van door.

But then wouldn't you know it....hubby, in his infinite wisdom suggests that for a change, why don't we just bring the van home and stand it on the road for a few hours before we leave and he'll plug the fridge in that way! And we'll wait to fill it with cold stuff until we've been on site for a few hours!!!!! So....yours truly had go like the clappers doing the loading, (and I can't carry a lot in one bl**dy trip out to it and hubby's STILL convinced that this is all done by elves and pixies anyway), and putting two bottles of FROZEN milk in it ready for use later plus one small bottle of both frozen and non-frozen milk in the coolbox in the car ready for our first cups of tea on site! And I just put a small pack of bacon, (also frozen so it would be thawed out but still nice and cold), in the coolbox with the flora ready for emergency bacon sarnies until we'd get some 'proper' shopping on site. Brill.....he thought! Me, personally thought it was a lot of hard work and this year I shall be taking my time loading by way of filling my Zafira with our clothes at least and driving them down the storage site the evening before we're due to leave and then will only have minimal bits to add to it whilst it's sitting outside plugged in and level for the fridge to get a bit of cooling done! Bl**dy hard work that was last time.

Ok, rant over. That new Bailey looks lovely anyway and I bet your right angigled, that they'll sell out fast! I think it said in PC that this model will be available from 1st July?

We were drooling over the Baileys on Sunday at our local showroom.  Didn't look over the Senators as way beyond our means.  May try saving up for a Pagent though.  Pleasently surprised that our dealer does not charge delivery as they're quite close to Bristol and collect themselves.  Waiting for delivery seems long as now September.

Come on if we leave now we can make it before it's dark. How many times have we heard that?

Only thing I don't like about it is the lack of front drawer-unit between the seats.  I know they have done it due to the reduced length of the front seats, but on a 'van of that spec it makes it somehow look 'unfinished'.  Plus we use our front chest (and the pull-out table it houses) very frequently and would be lost without it - can't be bothered to heave out the big table for breakfast or a quick, cold lunch!  If they made a front chest available as an option - lurrrrrverly van!!!!!
