We have a friend who works for a caravan dealer. He bought a PDQ - first time out it ripped along the awning channel for about 8 inches. He took it back and got it replaced - same thing happened to the second one, and by this time quite a few customers had started bringing them back to the dealership he works at with the same problem. He now has an Ultima.

hi dont go down that route they are a great idea BUT zips are the wrong way round they rip , leak, and you will only end up getting your money back like we did.
wouldn't bother if i were you, we had ours up twice and we got soaked both times by the water that had collected in the bag even though we had waterproofed it, rust marks on the material, as for the zips what a stupid idea, they zip from the top down, you dont realise till you start living with this how inconvenient this is, if the zip comes out at the bottom it is a real struggle to get it back together, ours eventually broke altogether.
bought it at the caravan show at the NEC in February from the towsure shop but cant find my receipt so they say they cant help me, just hoping can get a statement with the payment on or we are left 160 pound out of pocket and with an awning not worth a penny, be warned dont waste your money aswell
It is not necessary to produce a receipt when goods you have bought are not "Fit for Purpose" although in practice it certainly helps. Try Towsure again, and if you get no joy, mention trading standards or small claims court.
No need - I don't know who you spoke to but we'll get a collection and refund sorted out without a problem (as we have in a number of similar of cases where people have lost their receipts - although it would have to be a cheque refund given the circumstances, is this ok?).
E-mail me an address and date we can collect from and I'll get it sorted.
we ve used ours twice now in rain and high winds and have had no probs whatsoever really good product in our opinion takes us only about ten minutes to put up. must agree about the zips though but have just found a lady who does awning repairs an shes now changing the zip ends over so they zip from the bottom up
same here we bought ours from the show and have used it a couple of times and had no problems at all.. I think for the price its a good fast erect porch.
just to say have received a cheque this morning for the pdq awning, sorted out by John at Towsure ,thanks John, wont be buying another going back to a good old fashioned acrylic porch.
