Quite often the cheapest is false economy, agreed like for like then go for the cheaper one but not many policies are like for like. as mentioned CC is good, stay away from budget insurers like E+L they are underhand and unscruplous IMO.
We just switched to Caravan Guard when we got our new van last year having been with the Caravan Club's insurance for donkey's years. But hey ho.....Caravan Guard was quite a bit cheaper and seems to offer as much. Mind you, it's one of those things you should never be without but never hope to need to use!

You don't have to be a member to use their insurance, we are not members and have cover with them.
OMG how spooky is this? Just having posted the post about us changing to Caravan Guard, (which btw, was after extensive research on this very site, gawd love it), that we only get our new policy details in the post.....doo-doo doo-doo doo-doo doo-doo twilight zone...
Which reminds me...our postie is getting later and later every day!!! What ever happened to the mail's promise of one delivery a day before 12.30pm????
Climbing back off soap box and returning to normal sitting position...
We've insured with Shield. They were recommended as being very reasonable and very good if you should need to claim. I think ours is about £107 and the C&CC (we are members) quoted us over £130. I got a quote from the Caravan Club as well out of curiosity - it wasn't any cheaper but you did have to be a member if you wanted to take it up.
