To those going to Cornwall/Devon this summer. There are of roadworks on the motorways in the Bristol area, as per usual. The M5/M4/Almondsbury Interchange becomes a car park on a Saturday morning. This seems to be happening earlier in the morning as the years have gone by, and lasting for longer.

I shouldn't tell anyone this but if you need to take a break the service stations further down will be packed, so as a 'quick fix' get off the motorway at Almondsbury (the junction where the RAC building is), take the A38 Bristol road and at the next roundabout go onto Aztec West Business Park (3rd exit). Its fairly empty on a Saturday, so there is plenty of parking. There are a couple of lakes and ducks, and some grassed areas but no toilet facilities. Not idea but if you need to break your journey its a pleasant place to stop and stretch your legs. Thought this might prove useful to some.
