depends on the type of chassis the Monza. You can either take a wheel off and take a bearing to a local car spares and see if they can match it. Or maybe call your caravan dealer, tell them what van you've got, especially whether it's a single or twin axle and they'll order them in for you if they haven't got them on the shelf.

Hi Monza 82, I think that you will find that the wheel bearings are not peculiar to your Monza and would be of a proprietry type manufactured by a bearing manufacturer. I would think that to try to source via a caravan outlet would be a lost cause. Sugest you first remove a bearing and get your self along to your local supplier of bearings with it in your grubby mit (Yellow Pages will be of help here). Stick it under their noses and ask them to match it. This they will do, either with one (or 2 or 4 if inner and outer) from the origonal manufacturer or one of the same dimensions produced by another. They will have a book listing the part number and can cross reference to identical products from other manufacturers. Hope my comments are of some use and welcome to the web site. Hope you get a lot of peasure from your van..Mick
I think what is more important is who made the axle. Once you know this it will be easier. Many vans all had the same axle/bearings/brakes. As has been said though get the hub and bearing off to a beaing supplier andd they will sort you out.

Some years ago I had to change the tapered wheel bearings on an old Piper 1400, I took out the bearings and went to a bearing retailer he used the numbers on the bearings and cross referenced them and I came away with two bearing assemblies (inner + outer)for one wheel. Do make sure that you replace the old bearing tracks/paths and not just put in the new bearings only.
thank you for your help in my quest for wheel bearings i have a caravan store naer me but they dont keep anything like that in there shop i stripped down one side today and someone i know told me a bearing place not too far away so i will be going there on saturday its one of only a few jobs to do on it before shes out for the first time ive had her and i cant wait once again thank you

If they are taper rollers they may well also be common ones as far as the sizes go.
Mine were very common and the discounts on these can be as high as 90%!! from memory I paid about £25 for all four. If the price is a lot higher than this, try raising an eyebrow in disbelief, I always find thats worth a bit more off. Another tip, clean them up by soaking the set you take along in petrol overnight, this way he won't get his hands dirty because that adds to the price!
thank you gary someone said to me yesterday that i could end up spending about 40 pound i hope not they are tapered bearings do you know if they supply the whole kit or just the bearings

All taper rollers come with their outer race so yes they are complete. You will need two large ones for the back and two smaller ones at the front. Hopefully you can get the correst new grease seals for the back from the same supplier, mine didn't fit so I ended up re-fitting the old ones!
I assume you know how to adjust them but if not, you tighten up until the drum is tight, tap the drum which will settle the bearings while under pressure and then back off until the nearest hole is reached for the split pin. This will leave some play which will be felt when the wheel is replaced and rocked top and bottom. Recheck them after a 100 miles or so
Don't do what a kwik-fit fitter tried to do to mine and that was torque them up!! then tell me "I've been on a course so I know what I am doing" and his manager agreed!!!!!
