I have one and use it to move a 1500 kgs caravan around my drive.
I reverse our van onto the drive, then use the Hitchdrive to position the caravan up the corner about 1 inch away from a wall, about 12 foot in total. You need to be fit to use it, with the weight of our caravan anything less than a perfect surface, with the slightest slope and the Hitchdrive tyres don’t grip.
I have had it two years but will be surprised if it lasts another two years, I am on my second set of tyres.
I wouldn’t buy another new one, but I would buy a secondhand one as there seem to a lot of people who have bought them used them once and want to sell them, although the two hundred quid it cost has possibly already being saved as I would have damaged the caravan bumping in to things trying to position it by hand.
Difficult one to call, but what other options are there in this price bracket.
