A whole set of firsts....first post, first chat room and most importantly first caravan (soon). But I can'tdecide! I need 6 berths and have narrowed it down to the Swift Bowmere T/A or the Bailey Bretagne. We like the layout of the Bowmere, with it's rear bathroom, but I am concerned about manouverability (getting in to narrow gates off single track roads in the highlands) and it's weight.

I propose towing it with a Seat Alhambra 2.0 TDI. Any comments/advice/warnings?

What can I expect to get off the list prices if I pay through credit? or cash?

If you're looking at a twin axle have you thought of looking at the Bailey Senator Carolina?  Thats got fixed bunks and an end bathroom - its my dream van!  I got a Bretagne at the moment and I think its pretty good, my son loves the top bunk, my baby daughter is in a cot on the side dinette and there's still room for the masses of stuff babies seem to need!  We all use the shower in the van as well - but the end bathroom of the Carolina would be even better.

Towing with your car I would go for a lightweight Twin Axle which is more stable.

I can recomend the Ace Jubilee Equerry which is 6 berth end washroom with one set of fixed bunks and the dining area can be set up as another 2 bunks.

Bags of storage space (we haven't manage dto fill it all yet) and only 1610kg fully laden.

Both us and some friend of ours have been looking at the 6 berths aswell, both sold on the Bailey Senator Carolina, twin chassi though and a good weight.  We liked the fixed bunks, the spacious bathroom and especially the walk in shower.  However have also recently been looking at the Geists, some pretty inovative designs available there too at quite reasonable prices.

Welcome.
