Take your time, allow time for your journey and try if you can to drive in non-peak times so that you are not so worried about the traffic.
Dont worry about holding people up, if its safe to pass, then they will.
Keep a cool head, when you arrive on site - dont worry because everyone isnt watching you.....if you reverse and go wrong - dont panic, stay calm and collected and you will get it right.
We bought our van in April and have been away every weekend, hubby hadnt towed anything before and we havent had any problems as of yet, initially i was sat in the car with my head in my hands as we were going along, but now we are both relaxed and chilled, and the best way to prevent going wrong/falling out/losing your cool is to just take your time!
