Friend got home Friday evening - after a long day at work. - Gates wide open, oxy-acetylene had been used to take off an extra thinck chain cemented into the ground, alarm, and wheel clamps scattered..His twin axeled, 6 sleeper van had gone. It was all prep'ed for their jollies next weekend. Looks as though all will be cancelled now. It was insured but no Phantom - however his attitude is - I'm not certain I'd want it back after they've had it.
it makes me sick!! You slog your guts out to buy something special and some b*****d thinks they can help theirselves to it cos they cant be bothered save or buy their own. Bring back corporal punishment, chop their hands off!!!!!
hi i've also had a van pinched last year ...same mo...oxy torch etc these guys are pros and i'm not sure i'd want to meet them...just hope he not insured with e and l... best of luck if he is...never seen mine again...

Whichever way I say this, it's gonna sound racist . . . BUT . . . the "gypsies" have moved in locally on an industrial estate. Over a dozen caravans and all of them are late models - plenty of Hobbies too ! Funnily enough, gypsies also seem to trade in scrap metal. Seems to me you'd need an oxy torch if you were in that business.
We had our car broken into last night and the thieving little g*t got away with a £400 radio, pales into insignificance compared to this though. Laughable thing is that while the police were taking our statement at 4 am he was busy in the next street accross doing another 2 cars, he manged 15 this weekend in my town - a one man crimewave - I'm with Lynn on this one - bring back corporal punishment.
Somebody mentioned Gypsies.I have no allegence to them but I think you will find that they are Irish Tinkers and not true Gypsies and them b**gers are a load of trouble.Just look at the places they have left it is like a s**t hole and for me that says it all.

We had ours stolen about 18 months ago similar carry on we weren't insured though It too me a long time to get over it and it makes me sad when ever I hear of it.
