Anybody with any experience with them.

I am looking for a cheap 2nd towcar not really bothered what it is petrol/diesel make/model but must be about a grand.

Just had a scare with my mondeo 1.8 which needed a couple of jobs doing on it, nothing major but we are going away in two weeks and have been thinking of getting a 2nd vehicle thats capable of towing as well and getting rid of my cheap runaround.

Anyway i have seen  a Pajero 2.5td auto 1991 SWB only had 1 owner 100k miles Price £1100.

is it worth it and are they any good for towing with it been SWB.

Hiya Mate,

I tow with a Pajero 2.5 SWB and have done for three years, twice venturing to the S of France and once thru Switzerland and then into France.  The only problem I had was overheating but that was sorted with a radiator flush and electric fans.  Go and have a look at WWW.POCUK.COM, there is a vast amount of info on there.  Probably the best tow car I have had and I have had a few, get an auto.  Pure Bliss.

Regards Kenny

I tow with a P reg diesel Frontera 2.5, its an excellent towcar and you can pick the petrol ones up for less than a grand, I know you was asking about a Pajero but its just a thought if you don't get the Pajero.
