Hi all, Thought I'd add an extra socket  to my brand new 6 berth Ace jubilee before we head down to coffton then to pentewan for the summer anyhow i  were looking under the van to trace the cables and to my horror found that the main cable and one of the socket cables were slashed nearly all way through looks like there were done during instalation, I were lucky the thing did'nt set on fire once i got over it i went straight to barrons hope fully it will get sorted this week, apart from that the vans been great so far. Mark

Is it the Equerry you have Mark?

Smashing van I just got 3 additional sockets fitted at the dealer last week, also an outside 12/240volt for the awning and an external Sattellite / tv point.

Mine has the fixed bunks at one side and the option for a single or bunks at the dining table.

Been back to the dealer once because the battery compartment door wasn't catching at one of the 2 catches, he gave it a good thump and said there you go it's closed, I aske dhim to do it again and he cracked the door. (Result).

Blimey Mark, that never had a very good PDI did it. Lucky you noticed the wire cut through before plugging it in to the EHU.

We're off to Pentewan in august & I can't wait to get there, the inner man is in need of a rest.

How much did they charge you to fit the extra sockets Sparky?? I've just ordered a new Bailey Pageant & asked them to fit two external 240 volt sockets for use in the awning & they're charging me £60 a socket. I thought I get them to do it so that if there is a leak I'd have some redress because they sealed around the installation. I must admit, I'd nt thought about having an external 12 volt one put in. Are they separate or is it a ombined 240/12 volt socket unit.

Additional internal Sockets, Internal Satellite / TV Outlet at front, external 240 v 12v combined socket and external Satellite / Tv Hook up. Oh and a new tyre thanks to a youn LADY on her mobile phone forcing me to mount a kerb to avoid her little car in the centre of Fochabers.  £183.00.

Blimey, don't they put sockets in these vans when they build them? Seems like everyone needs more than Swift think, must be a design fault.

I had two extra sockets put in my van when I picked it up - 20 Euros each for fitting. £60 sounds a lot.

Its funny that Swifts are short on sockets, when Abbey are pretty well equipped for them !!  We have 3 mains sockets inside and 1 outside, plus 2 x 12 volt sockets.  We also have 2 tv points.  We also have 2 devices with coloured sockets similar to the aerial socket, but neither of has a clue what they're there for and the handbook doesnt even mention them at all !!
