Hi everyone

I'm a little confuced on which type of pegs to use with our awning. It's secondhand and there were lots of Dorema pegs with it, sort of a v-shape and bent over at the top. Now I've enthusiastically hammered these in and bent them out of shape, they're also really difficult to get out.

What should I try now? My tent had heavy duty metal pegs which were fine. The awning also has plastic yellow pegs with it, but how do you get those out?

In case we get high winds - what do you recommend?

 Ideal for extracting the pegs.

Depending on the type of ground I use rock pegs for hard, dry ground.

 These for standard ground

re-enforced every third space with a Delta peg

Sorry to be thick but are those red ones rock pegs?

They are the same as my yellow ones.

Rock pegs are like 9" nails and do a good job. In my experience the V shaped metal pegs are useless. To remove the rock pegs, I catch hold of them with a pair of pliers and twist them out quite easily.

I have also bought a set of screw in pegs, screw them in and out with a battery drill. Excellent job and very easy too.

Dont know why the pic didnt come through.   The tops come in various colours. Worth investing in some luminous ones

Have got some of them in my goody bag too!!
